MontrealIn 2008, EA Montreal launched the highly successful ARMY OF TWO for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game, built around the concept of co-operative play, sold more than 2 million units and spawned a new 100% Canadian entertainment franchise for Electronic Arts that saw its second release in early 2010.  The EA Montreal studio has also created a number of titles for the latest Nintendo platforms. These include SSX Blur, Skate It, Boogie SuperStar, Spore Heroes, and Need For Speed NITRO.

As the worldwide leader in mobile gaming, EA Mobile has built a thriving 300-person Mobile development team in Montreal right at the heart of this growing segment of the industry, creating some of the most popular titles in the world. EA Mobile continues to develop top titles for mainstream mobile phones as well as emerging platforms like the iPad and iPhone. Leading titles like Tetris, SCRABBLE, and Rock Band for mobile platforms are the work of this entrepreneurial team.

VANCOUVER (BLACK BOX & EAC)

Black Black Box was created in 2002 when EA acquired Black Box Games. Black Box is best known for the blockbuster racing franchise Need for Speed. One of the top 10 all-time best-selling games in North America, Need for Speed has generated more than $2.5 billion worldwide and sold more than 100 million unites since its inception more than a decade ago. The Black Box team also developed Skate, a brand new award-winning IP launched in 2007 that is the acknowledged leader and innovator in the skateboarding category.

EAC develops several of EA's biggest global sports franchises, including FIFA Soccer, NBA Elite, NHL and Fight Night. In addition, the studio is creating a number of new Intellectual Properties that expand the sports gaming genre, including EA SPORTS Active.

The EA campus in Vancouver (located in suburban Burnaby) is the largest, most successful studio in the history of interactive entertainment. The studio is home to approximately 1,300 employees at an impressive state-of-the-art campus featuring a theater, coffee bars, restaurants, an expansive fitness room, and a full-size soccer field.

EDMONTON (BIOWARE)

Edmonton BioWare has created some of the world's bestselling titles, including the award-winning Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights series, as well as the 2003 Game of the Year, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Original BioWare-created IPs include Jade Empire, a martial arts action role-playing game and the 2005 RPG of the Year.

BioWare developed the highly anticipated next-generation title Mass Effect, a science fiction action RPG for Xbox 360, and released Dragon Age: Origins, a fantasy role-playing game, in late 2009. Mass Effect 2 launched in early 2010 and is one of the highest rated games on the Xbox 360 platform in history with a 96 Metacritic rating. In 2009, BioWare was named as one of Canada's top 100 Employers and continues to be known as the place to develop the best story-driven games in the industry.
